Dave Reay:- his playing career began with his jazz-inflected fingerstyle arrangements of folk and blues songs in the duo Galliard, praised by Rock ‘n’ Reel magazine for “virtuosity and versatility – sheer damned class!” A developing interest in improvisation led him to a study of gypsy jazz, then on to an exploration of more modern American players such as Joe Pass and Larry Coryell. He’s played high-profile venues like Soho Pizza Express and Edinburgh fringe and a host of clubs and festivals around London and the South-East, most recently as lead guitarist with gypsy jazz ska band Gypskazz
